Are you up for a walk down memory lane? Even a year ago is almost distant memory, but it won’t be long now before we can get out and explore again.
I see that on this day last year I was attending the launch of Buckinghamshire’s new Midsomer Murders leaflets, led by my friend Sarah Osborne. This fun event took place at the Lions of Bledlow pub, with a lovely walk along The Ridgeway afterwards, picking up a couple of places where that long-running series has been filmed. We all came with news of a new virus, and were strictly forbidden to shake hands with each other. But we all chattered away, with no social distancing or face masks – yet. How innocent!
Midsomer Murders country (mainly in the counties of Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire) has not gone away. Indeed, it will be even more exciting this year for a year of absence. I don’t seem to have taken any pictures at last year’s event, so instead this is a reminder of just one of the distinctive places where Midsomer has been filmed, the Courthouse at Long Crendon.
And here is a link to my walks in Midsomer. If you are mad about the show you must come and see some of the locations and I’d love to show you around.
