What’s included in a guided town tour?
Every town or city has a story to tell. A depth of history, hidden gems and amazing attractions.
The town tours range from 75 minutes to half a day, or even a full day to include any of the tourist attractions that you would also like to visit. Alternatively, we can plan the route and show you some wonderful areas, culture and history of the town of your choice.
Town tours can include breaks at wonderful restaurants, pubs or cafes and are suitable for all ages, interests and levels of fitness.
What towns can we offer guided tours of?
We are qualified to offer tours in a wide range of historic towns and cities across Southern England, including:
Reading, Henley-on-Thames, Windsor and Eton, Oxford, Dorchester-on-Thames, Hungerford, Abingdon, Winchester and Portsmouth.
If there is a specific town or city not on this list that you or your group would like to visit, then definitely get in touch and see if we can help you get more out of your day!
Length and distance
Our 75/90 minute or two hour tours are suitable for everyone who can walk a mile or two. They will mainly be on good urban surfaces, with occasional short flights of steps or a cobbled section of the street.
Half-day tours will explore places in more depth. Surfaces will be similar, but the walk will be longer, usually up to three miles (5 km).
That said, all of our tours can be customised to your requirements, so if you need a shorter tour, less distance or greater accessibility then don’t hesitate to contact us. It would be our pleasure to create the perfect route for you and your group.
