The scenery of the Chiltern Hills Tours

Discover this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty

Explore the tranquil chalk hills, quiet woodlands and historic towns

The chalky footpaths and the beech woods of the Chiltern Hills offer some fantastic woodland and rural scenic walks, less than an hour from London.

As a protected Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, in the Chilterns you can quickly get away from urban noise and bustle for the day, and clear or refresh your mind.

Most parts of England have a great network of public footpaths, and those in the Chilterns are better than most.

Come and explore, with guides who know them intimately. Who knows what we’ll discover?

Learn about the history of this protected area, just a stone's throw from London

Walks are available from Henley-on-Thames, Marlow, Turville, Beaconsfield, Saunderton, Amersham and Great Missenden; all accessible by train or car.  (Other starting points may be available on request).

Each walk will be different, depending on location and length, but will include some combination of ancient woodland, open farmland, great views, and a hidden village or two.

We may be lucky and see horses, deer, or other wild animals, and see and hear those regal birds of prey, Red Kites, soaring overhead.
